Watch a new documentary on Fatboy Slim’s Big Beach Boutique II

Fatboy Slim's new documentary about his Big Beach Boutique II party is out now.

Right Here, Right Now, available to watch via Sky Documentaries and Now, follows the story of Norman Cook's infamous July 2002 free rave at Brighton Beach described as "biggest outdoor party the UK has ever seen". Planned to have 40,000 attendees when 250,000 showed up, the beachside party is cited as a turning point in the way UK events are run.

The documentary is directed by Jak Hutchcraft and produced by Ben Lowe and features personal retellings of the rave by the likes of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Vernon Kay and John Simm.

“It has been wonderful with the fullness of time and some hindsight, to revisit such a seismic event in both mine and my hometown’s history," Fatboy Slim said. "Warts and all, the story told in full…. Watch, sleep, rave, repeat.”

This past weekend ahead of the documentary's premiere, Fatboy Slim shared the full video recording of his set from the landmark Brighton rave for the first time. Last summer, Cook released a two-hour mix and deluxe box set to mark Big Beach Boutique II's 20th anniversary.

Next month, Fatboy Slim will head out on an 11-stop UK tour under the banner 'Y’all Are The Music, We’re Just The DJs'.
