Premiere: Sully 'Soundboy Don't Push Your Luck'
Foxy Jangles goes to (jungle) war...
Sully proves once again why he's one of jungle's brightest stars with his maniacal new cut 'Soundboy Don't Push Your Luck' for Rua Sound offshoot, Foxy Jangle.
We were tempted to just write this whole article in fire emojis but we figured since words are kind of our business, we'd stick with them... for now.
Originally a dub from the 'jungle wars' that dominated SoundCloud a few years ago, Sully's latest is a lesson in organised chaos, loaded with scatty breakbeats, whacky samples, uplifting vox and his signature drumrolls.
The two-track release (out 30th March via Bandcamp) follows a debut 12" from Kid Lib that made it into our Killers section back in November last year.
And it's not just the label that's continuing in fine form either, with Sully himself a DJ Mag favourite, nominated for Best Remix at our Best Of British awards for his version of Sam Binga's 'Wasted Days', and tearing up the dancefloor at DJ Mag Bunker's Astrophonica and Keysound takeovers — the latter launching his sophomore album, 'Escape'.
Anyway, that's enough babbling from us. Limber up, crank your system and check out 'Soundboy Don't Push Your Luck' below...
