Premiere: Bakblivv 'Attention Loop’
Bakblivv explores the relationships between humans, technology and nature on his experimental electronic debut for Pointless Geometry

Recorded in Warsaw over the past year, these nine tracks find the queer intermedia artist, producer and DJ exploring the complex symbiotic relationships that exist between humans, technology and nature. Through glitching club-adjacent experiments (and accompanying visual art by Kamil Kukla), Bakblivv weaves a speculative narrative, which asks: how can people – particularly “queers, weirdos, and outcasts” – feel at home in the world as it is today, in relentless flux, and how do we find the language to keep up with it?
The artist – born Ernest Borowski – presents these themes through a kaleidoscopic lens, hybridising elements of abstract ambient music, deconstructed club and gqom with melodic strands of trance and hyperpop. Amidst the high-def electronic sound designs, field recordings and sampled voices emerge with musique concrète dexterity – the organic world puncturing the synthetic.
From the chirruping intro of ‘Over the landscape’ and the sci-fi-tuned gqom-meets-breakbeat eruption of ‘Attention Loop’ to the ASMR synth symphony of closer ‘Broken Bones’, its an immersive, ecstatically engaging record – another rare jewel in the Pointless Geometry crown.
