Kush Arora announces new EP on Tash LC’s Club Yeke Label
Fusing bashment, roots, drill, dancehall and more
Kush Arora has announced a new EP on Tash LC's label, Club Yeke. 'Vision' will arrive on 7th February.
The release features two collaborative tunes — respectively with 45diBoss, and Blackout JA — alongside two solo pieces from Arora, who cites the likes of Mafia & Fluxy, Apache Indian, Louie Culture, and Madhouse Records as early musical influences.
Frequently re-thinking genres such as dancehall and dub, as was the case on 2006's landmark outing 'Bhang Ragga', 'Vision' sees Arora continue in a similar tradition, fusing sounds like bashment and roots to offer something both global and UK, and unique to the producer.
In 2019, Arora's joint effort with Zuzuka Poderosa, 'Seda', appeared on the DJ Mag On Cue mix by Miami-born, New York-based genre straddling DJ and Magic City boss Jubilee. The same year, Tash LC contributed a similarly varied selection of tracks to our Fresh Kicks series.
