Flora Yin Wong has launched a new record label and book publishing platform, titled Doyenne. Listen to clips from the debut collaboration on the platform, with Susu Laroche, below.
Doyenne will serve as a home for the London artist's new experimental music and print releases and will, according to a press release, focus on "new forms, ephemera and the divine feminine". The debut limited-run cassette, '001', is a joint release by Flora Yin Wong and French Egyptian multidisciplinary artist Susu Laroche. It'll be released on 2nd February.
The tape release is accompanied by a book, '002', of illustrations and poems by the two artists under the theme "Singing to Spirits". There'll be additional writing, art and photography contributions from Christina Vantzou, Cucina Povera, Hibiki Mizuno, Lisa Lerkenfeldt, Lucy Liyou, Ruth Saxelby, YL Hooi, Lucinda Chua, Martyna Basta and more. That publishes in March.
