DJ Cuddles has announced his latest EP, ‘PHANTOM01’, arriving via his new Phantom Dance label. Listen to the first single ‘Groove Designs’ below.

Out 24th November, the project is the London-based producer’s second EP under the DJ Cuddles alias, following August’s ‘Hugs and Kisses’ on NEVER SEVEN. ‘PHANTOM01’ features four techno-adjacent tracks as the artist continues to explore this dancefloor-focused sound.

Since adopting the alias earlier this year, DJ Cuddles – formerly known as Mr.Mitch – has taken a more experimental and autonomous approach to music, which extends to his new imprint. “I’ve started Phantom Dance as a way to get my club tracks to you easily and freely whenever I think the music is ready,” he shared on Instagram, “...I said I’ll keep the music coming and I wasn’t lying.”

The EP’s lead single ‘Groove Designs’ landed this week and marks the first release on the new imprint. The track is inspired by the dark grooves of the Berlin techno scene, along with UK garage and funky house.

Mitchell also returned to Rinse FM earlier this summer for the first time since his residency in 2020, and for the first time as DJ Cuddles. Spinning an hour of fast-paced trance, house, and techno, the producer flexed his chops as a club-focused selector in preparation for his live debut under the alias.

‘PHANTOM01’ is out 24th November on Phantom Dance. Listen to ‘Groove Designs’ below.
